LUMS Coverage of Florida

         FDOT wanted to know how many housing units and the amount of commercial & industrial square footage were within a 5 mile buffer of the Florida Intrastate Highway System (FIHS) and at the interchanges

         By identifying the sections and summarizing the LUMS data associated with each road segment we were able to develop data and map files providing a current and comprehensive demographic and commercial\industrial census profile.  The LUMS data is available for 1985 to present for all Florida.  Data can be compared for various years to establish a timeline of change by location and land use.
